The research project EUMONIS – The integration environment for operator of energy farms – was a BMBF-funded project (FKZ: 01IS10033, Duration: 01.07.2010 to 30.06.2014, www.eumonis.org) with a total investment of 14 million Euros. With the growing number of centralised as well as decentralised renewable energy plants, which start the "German energy revolution", priority objectives existed in the sustainable and efficient improvement of their operation, creating additional values by the connection of similar plants as well as open up new market potentials in form of innovative services in the field of renewable energy. Through the broad cooperation with leading companies, associations and research institutions a platform has been created that can support all actors along the value chain of renewable energy in the provision of their specific services.
Due to the high level of professional expertise, the BSE was part of the project as manager in the field of bio and solar energy. Through the know-how transfer it was possible to make a weak point analysis of existing processes and to define the requirements of the stakeholders and the platform. Furthermore, the BSE was actively involved in the standardization work to DIN SPEC 91303 and DIN SPEC 91310 to provide the insights to a wide audience in the form of standardized processes.
