The project CVtec is an example of the sponsorship of innovative SMEs. With the initiative "KMU-innovativ", the BMBF has established a "fast lane" for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). (FKZ 01IS14016, Duration: 01.09.2014 bis 31.08.2016)
In the life cycle of technical systems many processes run with the participation of different actors. All these actors, such as Plant designers, operators or special service provider, rely on consistent and current information on the plant. Missing or outdated information as well as incompatible data formats lead to inefficiencies and additional costs and impede cooperation. Legal and normative guidelines require, regardless of the specific type of plant, the care of often similar information. In a new concept - the digital life cycle documentation - all relevant information of the entire life cycle of a technical system is recorded. It aims to ensure a needs-based and unified access to the information about the technical system, the commn supervision of the information and serve as a knowledge base for coporate Decision support. The life cycle documentation shall be applicable cross-sectoral in the areas of industrial construction, facility management, as well as the Energy supply from renewable energies.
The BSE assumes in the context of CVtec the position the lead manager and contributes their professional knowledge in the field of industrial construction to define requirements and rules for the Decision support. At the same time it will be a first user of the life cycle documentation and it will illustrate the practical benefits from the perspective of a Plant designer.
